Privacy Policy
What data Bashee collects, how it is used, who can see it, and how to exercise your data rights.
1. Data we collect
Account details (name, email, role), the content you create (messages, posts, journal entries, check-ins), and minimal operational data (device, locale, error fingerprints) needed to run the service safely.
2. How we use it
To run the service, keep children safe, surface relevant information to parents and teachers under the parent-visibility rules, and meet legal duties such as UK Online Safety Act risk assessment. We do not sell data and do not show advertising.
3. AI processing
AI features run through the Bashee AI Gateway. Content is processed transiently to generate replies or summaries; it is not used to train third-party models. Guardrails block disallowed prompts and outputs.
4. Sharing
Only with: connected family members, your school (where applicable), service sub-processors strictly needed to operate the platform, and authorities where law requires.
5. Retention
Defined per data type in our retention policy (e.g. notifications 90 days, audit logs 730 days, resolved escalations 1095 days). Background jobs purge expired data.
6. Your rights
Access, export, correction, deletion, and consent withdrawal — exercise these from Settings or by contacting our DPO. We respond within statutory deadlines.
7. Children
For users under the digital age of consent, a verified parent must grant consent and confirm date of birth before child-facing features unlock.
